Rebel Without a Car Productions

Up to this point the “green” journey has beensomewhat conseptual with a bit of drama thrown in as we grapple with shade grown vs. free trade coffee choices for our production meetings.

All that changed this weekend as the RebelWithout A Car Production Team trekked to the backlot of Paramount Studios for the CineGear Expo.What a wild adventure!

Within minutes we came across a booth featuring solar powered battery packs that stored enough juice to power lights and camera. We were stoked!

From my perspective we were already ahead of the game and I was happy to wander. We ran into old friends such as Bobby Eras, a DP from my days in Music Videos and we ran into new friends such as Boris Gortinski, a DP who shot Enci and I last week for Channel 35. He was presenting his feature film “ The Beautiful Blue Danube at the Film Festival.
